Mediation Location

The mediation session can be held in any city preferred by the parties in the office of any participating counsel or other location. The session may also be conducted over Zoom or other remote service, but my strong preference is for in-person sessions.

Fees

• At the time the parties agree to move forward with mediation, I ask that you let me know how the parties intend to allocate the mediation fees.

• Generally, a flat fee will apply, and which includes a full day of mediation, preparatory time reviewing mediation statements, and engaging in pre-mediation discussions. That fee also includes any reasonable time assisting the parties post-mediation. If more significant time is required post-mediation for engagement other than a subsequent full-day mediation session, an hourly rate will apply. Full payment is due no less than fourteen days prior to the scheduled session date.

• Travel expenses for sessions held outside of the San Francisco Bay Area are additional and will be invoiced at cost.

• Refund for Cancellations: A full refund will be provided if notice of cancellation is provided at least 14 days before the scheduled mediation, or if within 14 days of the scheduled mediation if I am able to schedule a mediation for an unrelated matter for that time.
